Overview

The Proposal Content Manager creates, maintains, and manages the content used to craft high quality, persuasive proposals. The employee in this position has complex proposal experience and experience managing proposal content from creation through ongoing maintenance. The employee has experience implementing content management best practices and workflows designed to identify efficiencies throughout the proposal process. The Proposal Content Manager may also support bid pre-population and manage RFPs independently if/when needed. The employee stays current on industry trends and looks for ways to improve workflows, accuracy, and competitiveness through our proposal content.

 

The employee in this position has significant experience managing proposal content and makes well-reasoned decisions regarding content additions and edits; works closely with the Vice President, Sales Operations and other subject matter experts (SMEs) actively seeks to learn more about the organization as a whole and looks for opportunities to synthesize information across business units to create strategic content; and understands the strategic nature of their role in the department. The Proposal Content Manager requires minimal direction and takes the initiative to proactively correct any issues, becoming more responsible in increasingly complex situations, while communicating effectively with others within the department and in other roles/functions.

 

The Proposal Content Manager reports to the Vice President, Sales Operations.

This is a remote-based position within the Continental US.

Content Management

  • Employee has advanced ability to organize and maintain a content management system or database like Qvidian, Loopio, or Responsive, ensuring content is readily accessible, searchable, and up-to-date.
  • Employee has experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Employee has advanced technical knowledge to write to solutions for strategic initiatives to meet present and future mission needs.
  • Employee has an advanced ability to analyze compliance-driven/technical documentation to determine customer requirements and to understand complex customer issues within the PBM or pharmacy areas.
  • Employee has the advanced ability to adapt to new, technology-driven tools (e.g., database, online procurement systems).

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Business, English, Journalism or related field OR 5+ years of proposal writing/content management experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Certification.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a proposal writer in the PBM, specialty pharmacy, pharmacy services, and/or 340b industries or other related industries.
  • 2+ years of experience managing proposal content within a content management tool like Qvidian, Loopio, or Responsive.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Understands the PBM and broader pharmacy-related industries and stays current on industry topics and market shifts.
  2. Expert in utilizing Qvidian, Loopio, and/or Responsive content management systems.
  3. Expert level proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  4. Demonstrated experience creating persuasive proposal content to support winning proposals.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with ability to interface and work effectively as part of a team and cross-functionally.
  6. Demonstrated ability to autonomously lead the content management process from beginning to end, coordinating with multiple writers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other internal stakeholders.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to maintain high quality proposal content, coordinate activities with multiple departments, and incorporate layman terms in the database.
  8. Excellent project management, organizing, planning, and skills.
  9. Ability to work under deadlines, managing multiple projects and prioritizing assignments.
  10. Demonstrated ability to balance short-term, deadline-oriented assignments and long-term ongoing projects.
  11. Demonstrated creative and strategic business writing skills
