Overview

The Organizational Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for the training and professional development of an organization's employees, including developing strategies to deploy and manage education across the organization to make the most out of people's talents and help them develop to their full potential. 

In addition, the position is responsible for developing content for various internal training initiatives as well as implementing and tracking these programs.   

 

Position Location

This is a hybrid, remote-based position in the Dallas, TX area. From time to time, as business needs require, may work onsite in the Granite Park office complex located in northwest Plano.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement training programs for employees based on organizational objectives and goals. Incorporate learning strategies based on stakeholders' expectations.
  • Design and develop training materials, learning strategies or online training that incorporate different learning styles based on each organization’s requirements.
  • Work closely with various leaders across the organization to have a full understanding of their units and training requirements.
  • Responsible for the company’s new hire intranet page and company new hire onboarding training.
  • Work closely with the Compliance Team to ensure all training requirements are met for both annual and new hire training as well as pharmacy audits and accreditation requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to engage in development efforts (internal training, technical training, leadership development and more) that are planned and integrated into Career pathing and talent management business processes.
  • Manage and build relationships with all outsourced third-party vendors and training programs by managing and monitoring contracts, payments and negotiating the best deals to deliver quality training programs.
  • Monitor the success of third party training programs offered to help employees make the most of the companies learning opportunities.
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of all training programs.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:                          
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Education, Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, Sciences  and/or related field or a combination of demonstrable experience, education and training.
  • Bachelor’s level qualification or significant experience in Training /Leadership Development

EXPERIENCE:                           

  • Experience in healthcare or PBM/pharmacy businesses. Clinical experience preferred with RN or RPh licenses, or PhT certification so that leadership, professional and career development practices and methods are optimized and engaged for relevant talent market practices.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in developing and presenting both live and computer-based training on wide range of topics including employee onboarding, customer service, business skills, leadership development, regulatory, compliance, and health care certifications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills, including experience owning and developing client relationships with business partners and senior leaders.
  2. Strong organizational and project management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and attention to detail.
  3. Ability to author original training materials.
  4. Approaches work with a high sense of curiosity, identifying opportunities to connect training to learners.
  5. Effectively listens to others’ needs and ideas to create the best solutions to problems.
  6. Must have efficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Professional Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and TEAMS.
  7. Effective time management, organization skills, and attention to detail.
  8. Must function independently, demonstrate flexibility, and personal integrity.
  9. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  10. Must have 3 years’ experience in adult training, preferably in a clinical setting.
