PHARMACIST - Per Diem (PRN) – COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS PHARMACY - BURLINGTON, VT

 

Maxor National Pharmacy Services is seeking a kind, patient and caring Per Diem (PRN) Staff Pharmacist for our Community Health Centers Pharmacy in Burlington, VT. We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our dedicated team of pharmacy professionals at this clinic-based, in house pharmacy. Prior retail pharmacy experience is required, as well as the ability to work in a fast paced, busy environment. This pharmacy is managed by Maxor National Pharmacy Services, LLC

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in providing effective, appropriate, and safe pharmacy services.
  • Greet customers and take prescription orders
  • Convey empathy and understanding when handling customer service issues.
  • Operate the cash register by ringing up sales for customers
  • Assist in keeping the pharmacy clean and the shelves stocked
  • Answer the phone
  • Input customer information into the computer system

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or Pharm. D, from an approved school of pharmacy
  • Current/Clear VT Pharmacist licensure required.

Experience:

  • One-year experience as a practicing pharmacist is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.
  2. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
  3. Knowledge of polices and regulations pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs.
  4. Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  5. Ability to supervise and train assigned staff.
  6. Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements (if applicable).
  7. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
  8.  Ability to assume essential responsibilities and duties in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager
