Overview

The PBM Product Manager will be responsible for leading development and launch of new products and product enhancements for clinical programs. The PBM Product Manager will understand industry landscape and competitive challenges and create innovative solutions to improve quality, member health outcomes, and cost-improvements/ avoidance for members and clients. The product offerings will be focused on increasing customer growth, delivering customer savings, while promoting a differentiated customer experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration, leading meetings, and successfully managing projects to completion
  • Strong ability to plan, organize, schedule, direct, control, and monitor project activities, including basic financial analysis
  • Excellent influence, relationship management, and engagement skills, with the ability to build alignment and accountability without formal authority
  • Experience with product launches and management of those products through the market lifecycle
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook, Salesforce, Smartsheet, Confluence, and Jira
  • Experience in PBM claims adjudication, benefit setup, and pharmacy operations
  • Expertise in product billing, compensation modeling, and strategic product pricing
  • Extensive experience in vendor management, including evaluating, selecting, and overseeing third-party vendors
  • Capable of conducting market research, understanding the competitive landscape, defining product identity, and staying informed of trends that may influence future product direction
  • Client-facing experience, including subject matter expert support for finalist presentations and related tasks
  • Strong experience in contract review and execution, with a proven ability to analyze, negotiate, and finalize contracts
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities in a matrix organization
  • A versatile professional who is comfortable taking on various challenges and operating autonomously with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Director, Product Managment and other key stakeholders to develop product & service roadmap for MaxorPlus
  • Responsible for development, implementation, coordination, and assessment of clinical programs
  • Provide leadership as a "go-to" resource on clinical product strategy team for clinical programs, formulary, and utilization management.
  • Demonstrate curiosity to understand "how" and "why" existing systems/processes operate the way they do
  • Use knowledge gained to enhance product design and inspire new product solutions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop project plan, and manage the development and rollout of new products & services
  • Performs market research to understand competitive landscape, define product identity and stay informed of changing trends that may influence future direction of product portfolio
  • Provide recommendations on product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy
  • Partners with marketing to develop market facing collateral for a portfolio of products, throughout the product lifecycle; including sales decks, sell sheets, RFP responses, email, and other content
  • Collaborates with marketing to identify marketing activities for strategic planning and implementation
  • Coordinate with internal groups to ensure products & services are represented consistently across proposals, sales and marketing materials, and other collateral
  • Support a range of Clinical strategy initiatives as needed to achieve short-term and long-term goals and objectives
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.
  • Comply with Maxor’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor’s Compliance Program.
  • Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.
  • Complete required training, as assigned, within the established timeframes

Qualifications

Education:            

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or experience in the desired scope of work.

Experience:                           

  • 5-7 total years’ experience with 5+ years in pharmacy benefits management, healthcare, or pharmacy industry strongly preferred.
  • 5+ Years in Product Management, Product Development and experience with product launches and management of those products through market lifecycle.
  • 5+ Project management experience and knowledge of pharmacy benefits management required.
