Overview

The DevOps Engineer II works with software development staff to ensure business requested changes are delivered as quickly as possible with the highest quality and security.  Develops ways to automate and improve development and release processes. Resolves deployment issues.  

Collaborates with security team to ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats. 

 

Position Location

This is a remote-based position within the Continental US.

Responsibilities

  1. Works primarily with assigned business unit to support business operations.
  2. Partner with Business Analysts and create documentation of architecture design.
  3. Work with the team to identify infrastructure architecture tasks to be included in the project plan.
  4. Work with team to set up and maintain the CI/CD Pipeline through all environments.
  5. Ensure system changes are implemented correctly and troubleshoot associated issues.
  6. Develop and maintain system documentation.
  7. Promote teamwork and a positive atmosphere by working with other employees to achieve the goals of the Information Technology department as well as the goals of the company.

Qualifications

Education:                             

  • Computer science, or related degree, from an accredited college or university preferred

 Experience:                           

  • 3-5 years of development or administering infrastructure technologies.
  • One or more: Azure DevOps Pipelines, Pulumi, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, similar experience, or Azure AZ-400 (Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert)
  • A minimum of 4 + years working in DevOps plus a minimum of 2+ years’ experience in System Administration and/or network management
  • In-depth knowledge of containerization a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of personnel.
  2. Working knowledge of Agile principles.
  3. Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
  4. Microsoft Azure (Cloud environment)
  5. Ability to develop Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi and/or Terraform preferred)
  6. Ability to create automated testing for IaC
  7. Azure DevOps Pipelines
  8. GIT Source Code Management
  9. Ability to troubleshoot moderately complex IT issues.
  10. Basic knowledge of FTP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, PowerShell, Windows Server 2019+, Monitoring and logging tools, SSO and IIS.
  11. Ability to adhere to project timelines and document progress.
