Overview

Maxor is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join a dynamic Pharmacy Application Development team. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading, planning and implementation of technical projects. This includes defining the project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Additionally, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for detailed project plans and schedules. This role requires proactively managing changes and building contingency plans. The Technical Project manager will identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths, coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for execution of projects and report or escalate to management as needed.

 

Location

Remote, home-based within the Continental US.

Responsibilities

  1. Regularly exercises independent judgment and discretion in the performance of establishment and maintenance processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle
  2. Assign and monitor resources to ensure project delivery
  3. Build project schedules and manage timelines
  4. Initiate change management process as needed
  5. Maintain project risks and issues
  6. Develop project documentation, as needed
  7. Manage the delivery of project documentation
  8. Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
  9. Promote teamwork and a positive atmosphere by working with other employees to achieve the goals of the Information Technology department as well as the goals of the company

Qualifications

Education:                             

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field preferred
  • PMP certification is preferred

Experience:                           

  • 5 years of experience in project management with a focus on technical projects
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a hands-on role within a technical discipline
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Experience managing remote teams is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
  • Proven experience in risk management
  • Proven experience in change management
  • Working knowledge of Project Management methodologies including Scrum, Waterfall, and Agile.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
  • Negotiation skills
  • Conflict Management skills
  • Planning and organization skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
