The Technical Lead, Pharmacy Application Development is an engaging team leader with Specialty Pharmacy experience. The Technical Lead is a key member of a multidisciplinary team of Software Engineers, Pharmacy Operations, Product Managers, Designers and IT infrastructure team members who create pharmacy products and solutions that provide remarkable experiences for our patients and pharmacy operations team members. The Technical Lead models an environment of strong collaboration and partnership with engineers, product managers, pharmacy operations stakeholders, IT admin and partners to drive execution of product roadmap, project plan, negotiate changes in priorities, and manage communication of impacts.

Ideal Experience Profile

-  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science Business Management, or similar discipline

-  Specialty or Retail Pharmacy experience

-  10-15 years for System design skills experiences in large scale enterprise software development as a technical lead or senior engineer

-  3-5 years of experiences leading small team of software engineers

-  Full stack development using UI technologies like React/React Native development using distributed application architecture, .NET/C#, AngularJS, ReactJS, Javascript/TypeScript, WebAPI, JSON, REST/HTTP, HTML, Azure DevOps, SQL

-  Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills

-  Experience leading, developing and participating in top performing teams

-  A history of leading and supporting successful projects

Responsibilities

  • Architect, Design and develops software applications. Continuously assessing requirements that are  documented and unsaid, do POC, developing solutions and code, PR; communicating status and issues to team and Pharmacy stakeholders
  • Lead 2 to 4 software developers and SQA in an Agile based delivery cycle. Mentor engineering team members on technical decision making, quality code and enforcing engineering standards and practices
  • Models an environment of strong collaboration and partnership with engineers, product managers, pharmacy operations stakeholders, IT admin and partners to drive execution of product roadmap, project plan, negotiate changes in priorities, and manage communication of impacts
  • Manage and maintain the corporate architecture, processes and procedures for all Retail Pharmacy products & solutions
  • Identifying short and long-term solutions and timeline to ensure Retail Pharmacy products and solutions meet existing and future requirements
  • Possess exceptional troubleshooting skills to assess quickly complex programming applications challenges and production incidents
  • Take ownership and drive the development to minimize technical debt by identifying areas of improvement in the design, coding and developing plan for implementing the improvements
  • Experiences with Pharmacy, POS, Payments is a big plus
  • Hands-on development skills and usage of key technologies – .NET/C#, ReactJS, Javascript/TypeScript,  AngularJS, Web API, JSON, REST/HTTP,  HTML,  API Gateway, Azure DevOps, SQL, VB, Powershell scripts
  • Knowledge of Delphi, Power BI, ETL and Informix is a plus. These technologies expertise helps to accelerate our Digital Transformation goals
  • Experience with Native Mobile applications and technologies.  CSSIonic/Cordova, Android/Apple store builds and deployments is a plus but not a must.

Qualifications

Education:                             

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science Business Management, or similar discipline from an accredited college or university preferred

Experience:

  • Specialty or Retail Pharmacy
  • 10-15 years for System design skills experiences in large scale enterprise software development as a technical lead or senior engineer
  • 3-5 years of experiences leading small team of software engineers
  • Technical breadth with multitude disciplines of Software Engineering, Products Integration, Data, Networking, Security, Cloud etc.,
  • Hands-on working experiences on API’s, Windows applications, Web, Cloud-native architecture using .NET framework.
  • Development experiences using full stack development using UI technologies like React/React Native development using distributed application architecture
  • Development experiences of large-scale Windows based applications, preferably pharmacy or healthcare products and solutions
  • Working experience in any cloud platforms Azure/AWS or GCP. DevOps principles and CI& CD.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to define business problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions & lead teams to develop solutions.
  • Ensure efficient execution of overall product delivery by prioritizing, planning, and tracking the progress.  This can include the development of shippable quality code.
  • Actively engages in product and business discussions with a technical eye for feasibility and adherence to overall roadmaps and architectural strategy.
  • Flexibility in working with rapidly changing and multiple priorities.
  • Project management skills. Demonstrated ability to push projects over the finish line with sound using the agile software development methodology.
  • Open and work in a collaborative style; must be comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challenged
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to all stakeholders with/without technical background
  • Should be self-driven, proactive. Should act with sense urgency and ownership.
