Overview

Maxor is seeking an experienced, remote-based Software Engineer II-Second Level Support to join our Corporate Systems & IT Services team. The Software Engineer II solves difficult incidents and implements automation/continuous improvements. Designs, develops, and supports software applications. Performs coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.

 

Position Location

This is a remote-based position where you will work from your home office.

Responsibilities

  1. Designs, develops, and supports software applications.
  2. Proficiency in .NET/C#, AngularJS, ReactJS, Javascript/TypeScript, WebAPI, JSON, REST/HTTP, HTML, Azure DevOps, SQL
  3. Knowledge of Delphi, Power BI, ETL and Informix is a plus but not a must
  4. Experience with CSSIonic/Cordova, Android/Apple store builds and deployments is a plus but not a must
  5. Performs coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.
  6. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
  7. Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes
  8. Adheres to security and quality standards when designing/developing solutions.
  9. Troubleshoots, debugs and resolves issues
  10. Has working knowledge of relational databases such as SQL server
  11. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  12. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required.

Qualifications

Education:                             

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar discipline from an accredited college or university preferred

Experience:

  • Typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience of Web UI and backend services and Windows applications development in Microsoft environment
  • 2+ years’ experience working with relational databases
  • 1+ years’ experience working with source control systems, such as Azure DevOps, TFS, SVN, GIT
  • Experience with public cloud environments is a plus

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Skill designing functional and reliable software which meets the end user’s needs
