We are looking for a talented Business Intelligence Specialist to join our Healthcare Analytics team. In this role you are responsible for structuring the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications. You will identify, research, and resolve technical problems; ensure that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities; and contribute to moderately complex aspects of projects. Your work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.


*Ideal candidate for this role will have: 2+ years’ experience/knowledge of the healthcare industry (i.e. Pharmacy, PBMs and Health Plans) and 2-4 years of advanced SQL coding/procedure development.

  1. Responsible for structuring the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications.
  2. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems
  3. Ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities
  4. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
  5. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
  6. Create reports and write queries across multiple systems within multiple business units.
  7. Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.
  8. Comply with Maxor’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor’s Compliance Program
  9. Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists
  10. Complete required training, as assigned, within the established timeframes
  11. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
  12. Maintain regular attendance in accordance with established policies
  13. Perform other job-related duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Management, or similar discipline from an accredited college or university.                                            


  • 4-7 years directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position
  • 2-4 years of report development, troubleshooting, and support
  • 2-4 years of advanced SQL coding/procedure development
  • 1+ years experience/knowledge of the healthcare industry (i.e. PBMs and Health Plans) is desirable

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Excellent written communication skills to deliver technical specifications and professional products
  2. Excellent verbal communication skills to interview & gather requirement from business personnel
  3. Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  4. Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills in order to understand how business works
  5. Ability to analyze projects and solve complex problems or processes (specifically with business process automation)
  6. Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
  7. Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports
  8. Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
  9. Strong knowledge of SQL, database tables, and structures.
  10. Working knowledge of Business Intelligence/Reporting platforms (such as Crystal Reports, Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, or SSRS)
  11. Competency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio
  12. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is preferred (VLOOKUP, data models, queries, etc…)
  13. Experience participating in top performing teams and being a team player while also being able to work independently and self-learn as needed
