Maxor National Pharmacy Services is currently seeking a Pharmacy Concierge to join our dynamic Callen Lorde Pharmacy team in the Manhattan location.

 JOB SUMMARY:      

The concierge role is designed to provide personalized attention to patients in order to enhance the customer service experience.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (These duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.  This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position):

 

  1. Warmly greet customers upon arrival in a professional and courteous manner.
  2. Maintain order and efficiency in lobby area.
  3. Facilitate communication between patients and back-end pharmacy staff.
  4. Provide direction and assistance for patients in need of Callen Lorde health services beyond the pharmacy.
  5. Work with patients to improve understanding of pharmacy communication systems (i.e. pharmacy app and text notifications).
  6. Assist with maintaining over-the-counter inventory.
  7. Offer a warm “thank you for your business” to exiting customers.
  8. Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.
  9. Comply with Maxor’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor’s Compliance Program.
  10. Remain free from exclusion under the Office of the Inspector General and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.
  11. Complete required training, as assigned, within the established timeframes.
  12. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  13. Maintain regular attendance in accordance with established policies.
  14. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent

 

Experience: 1 year customer service experience

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  1. Ability to communicate well with people from a diverse background
  2. A commitment to treating all patients with empathy and compassion
  3. Ability to be standing for extended periods of time
  4. Basic technical and organization skills
  5. High customer service orientation, exhibiting a welcoming disposition with the ability to be consistently polite, helpful, kind, courteous and discreet.
  6. Bilingual Spanish speaking skills a plus

The successful candidate should have the ability to communicate well with people from various backgrounds, specifically those with diverse race, ethnicity, gender identity and sexual orientation.
