Maxor National Pharmacy Services is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to work within the JPS Health Network Main Outpatient Pharmacy.

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Operation’s Manager will assist Pharmacy Operations in providing overall leadership direction and management of all operation processes and initiatives within the system. As a Maxor employee, the Pharmacy Operation’s Manager first priority should be to represent and advance the best interest of Maxor. The Pharmacy Operation’s Manager works closely with Pharmacy Operations to ensure the pharmacy provides optimal service, meets all legal and accreditation/certification requirements, and complies with all applicable policies and procedures, codes and standards of the facility and Maxor.

Licensed for 578 beds, the network includes an acute care hospital and more than 40 community-based clinics, including 19 school-based clinics. 1. Assist Pharmacy Operations and Maxor Leadership Team to ensure the pharmacy provides optimal pharmacy services.
2. Meets legal and accreditation/certification requirements, and complies with all policies and standards of Maxor National Pharmacy Services.
3. Work in conjunction with Pharmacy Operations and Maxor Leadership Team, staff, and Maxor personnel to assure compliance with service expectations and achievement of performance goals and
4. Assist Pharmacy Operations in developing, reviewing and updating policy guidelines and other
5. Assist Pharmacy Operations in providing appropriate technical and skills training for pharmacy
6. Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and implement changes to increase efficiencies within all areas of pharmacy
7. Prepare reports and maintain records / supervise the maintenance of records as requested or
8. Support Pharmacy Operations by overseeing and participating in inventory management programs.
9. Identify unsafe/unsanitary practices in medication procurement, distribution.
10. Attend and participate in programs, committees, meetings and functions required by pharmacy department.
11. Ensure positive customer service; listen to and acknowledge all customer complaints, actively follow-up on response to all customer
12. Work cooperatively with other staff members to enhance the team
13. Recognize positive behavior and contributions to the organization using praise, appreciation, and awards.
14. Adhere to staffing and expense budgetary
15. Assist in budget preparation and analysis including the capital expense
16. Participate in staff meetings and other aspects of the practice of pharmacy as
17. Assure all staff performance appraisals are completed and updated as

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or health related field

Project management or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification, preferred

Current PTCB certification and Texas Board of Pharmacy registration, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

Experience: Three years of proven project or process management leading and managing multiple projects

Operational management experience

Supervisory or Management experience

1 plus year Excel and Power Point experience
